Jared was born in Bridgeport, CT and grew up in the Raleigh, NC area. His father is a pastor and Jared came to know Christ at the age of 12. Growing up, Jared always valued the power of relationships and seeks to create spaces where people who may appear to be different can come together and find a sense of belonging. For the past 15 years, he has lived that value out by serving as a pastor in several dynamic churches all over the country. For the past 3 years, he has served as a Teaching Pastor at Willow Creek Community Church outside of Chicago, Illinois. Prior to Willow, he served as an Executive, Teaching, Small Groups and Youth Pastor in churches in North Carolina and Oklahoma. He has an Undergraduate degree in Business Law from Western Carolina University and a Masters of Divinity from Duke University.
