In difficult times, you or someone you know may need professional help from a trained counselor. Hope Counseling Center (HCC) provides counseling services at a competitive price to university students, staff, faculty and families, as well as the local community. We strive to assist individuals and families to restore broken relationships, resolve life transitions, and develop more adequate and more satisfying interpersonal relationships.
An extension of the Department of Psychology and Counseling's Marriage and Family Therapy program, the Center's trained graduate students assist clients in overcoming a range of challenges and serious clinical issues including:
Clients meet one-on-one with a therapist weekly, usually in 50-minute sessions. The first few sessions consist of completing an extensive client history, reasons for coming to therapy, and a discussion of treatment goals. Therapy may last a few weeks or possibly months depending on the concerns involved.
Our standard office fee for our counseling services is very competitively priced. We will offer a sliding scale fee based on family income for those who are unable to afford our full fee. The fee for Hope International University students is $5.
To make an appointment with a counselor, please call 714-879-3901 x1266 and leave a message. Your calls will be returned within 24 hours. All inquiries to the counseling center are treated with complete confidentiality.
Hope Counseling Center works within the scope of its resources to provide assessment, treatment and referrals to the community. For issues that are beyond the scope of our resources, we work to assist the individual in accessing the appropriate services.
