Professional Development:

Sandy has taken a special interest in training elementary teachers and those seeking a foundational math credential to teach mathematics. Through her own teaching she has discovered numerous ways to make mathematics practical and exciting to her students.  She specializes in innovative approaches to math education.  Sandy’s students run the gamut in terms of their math preparedness, and she loves to find new ways to teach and challenge all her students, regardless of their math proficiency. Each year she takes students to math conferences in order to introduce them to the world of math education.

Personal Interests:

Sandy loves spending time hiking, camping and doing water sports with her family and friends.
