Students in this introductory speaking, listening and pronunciation course develop fluency in speaking and listening in everyday life situations. Em-phasis is placed on practicing and listening for main ideas and the im-provement of pronunciation. Placement in this class is determined through the COMPASS English as a Second Language (ESL) test along with other placement assessments.
