Today's chapel features PETER CONTRERAS, Lead Pastor of New Vision Christian Fellowship in San Diego. Pastor Pete is a 20 year urban ministry veteran who is well known on the streets, in the schools, and all over the city of San Diego. Contreras helped plant Community Christian Church in San Diego, and he coordinated Midnight Basketball, geared to help youth get off the streets of San Diego. His wife Julie is a graduate of HIU and her mother is a former psychology professor at HIU. Pete’s passion is to develop ministries and empower others to serve. #HIUnow #ServantLeadersInAction
