HIU's Director of Campus Ministries, Joe Barsha, is also the Lead Pastor at La Mirada Church in La Mirada, CA. Before LMC, Joe was the Director of Junior High Ministries at Forest Home, working with 2,300+ Jr Highers and counselors each summer for 4 years. He has a B.A. in Youth Ministry from Hope International University (’06) and an M.A. in Religion from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (’13). Joe speaks at several youth camps, conferences, and chapels, providing a message of hope and salvation intertwined with his own personal stories. Joe and his wife Rachel have been married for 15 years and have two young children, Emma and RJ. They enjoy Orange County, it’s beautiful beaches, as well as Ducks Hockey and Angels Baseball.
