Hope International University's College of Education held its annual Commissioning Ceremony to honor candidates who successfully completed the arduous process of earning a California Teaching Credential in 2022. Last year, a total of 48 credentials were earned through HIU's programs, including 21 Preliminary Administrative Services Credentials, 17 Preliminary Single Subject Credentials, and 10 Preliminary Multiple Subject Credentials. 

Each candidate in attendance was presented a Challenge Coin to commemorate their notable achievement. Dr. Doug Domene, Dean of the College of Education, explained that the Challenge Coins serve as “our token of congratulations as you purse a career in education, and a tangible reminder that Hope International University is always here to assist you in your future growth as an educator."  One side of the coin is emblazed with the Commission on Teacher Credentialling seal. The other side depicts the HIU academic seal, which incorporates our motto “Preparing Servant Leaders."
