On Saturday, March 17, the HIU Music Department entertained a packed auditorium with their closing night performance of Bye Bye Birdie. Junior Erin Benton brought sass and humor to the musical as Rose Alvarez, while Junior Christian Koshay portrayed momma’s boy Albert Peterson with an endearing innocence. Senior Joscelyn Myers was bubbly and delightful as teenager Kim MacAfee and Andrew Pervorse (BA ’11) channeled a young Elvis Presley as rock and roll star Conrad Birdie.

Over 250 alumni and friends of HIU enjoyed a VIP reception prior to the musical. The next event put on by the Music Department is the Spring Concert on Friday, May 4.
