HIU's 2016 student worship team -- The Hope Collective -- proudly announces the release of their brand new full-length worship album, titled Back To Life. The 11-song album was produced under the leadership of Tom Brooks, Chair of HIU's Center for Music & Worship Arts. Songs were recorded in Brooks' studio and live on campus during a recent chapel service. Back to Life is a follow-up to the Hope Worship EP, Our Hearts Adore, released in December of 2015.
HIU's Center for Music & Worship Arts is laser-focused on one vital mission: to train, equip, mentor, empower, and inspire gifted young musicians and singers to impact the world for Christ. The CMWA provides practical, hands-on, real-world experience students need to launch effective ministry careers. Tom Brooks is owner and Creative Director of Master Recording Studios, a world-class production studio in Southern California featuring the latest state-of-the-art digital and analog recording technology. He has written, arranged, and produced soundtracks for television, film scores, and advertising music for many of the nation’s leading companies. Tom holds a doctorate in music and teaches workshops and seminars around the globe. He also serves on the worship team at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA, with Pastor Rick Warren.
Brooks is best known as Producer / Arranger / Engineer / Keyboardist of the “Hosanna Music” Praise & Worship Series for Integrity Music-Sony Music. He has produced over 100 successful albums, 6 certified Platinum, and 12 certified Gold, selling over 30 million copies world-wide. He has also received multiple Grammy, Arpa, and GMA Dove Award honors.
