HIU’s Pacific Christian College of Ministry & Biblical Studies proudly announces that Dr. Phil Towne has been chosen to succeed Dr. Kip Lines as the new Chair of Intercultural Studies (ICS). The Intercultural Studies program prepares students to relate to people of diverse cultures, lead them to Christ, and guide them into a relevant life. For the past six plus years Phil has been Director of SALT (School of Advanced Leadership Training) and Certificate Programs, and teaches ‘Theology of Ministry’ and ‘Pastoral Ministry 1’ and ‘Pastoral Ministry 2 Field Practicum’.

Dr. Towne will work with fellow ICS professors to further advance the program. Current ICS professors include: Dr. Tim Dally, Laura Macias, Mike Carman, Michael Shepherd, Judy Kim, Jeff Swaney, and Fred Dorado.

“We look forward to Phil’s leadership in this vital department within Pacific Christian College of Ministry and Biblical Studies,” stated Dr. Joe Grana, Dean of PCCMB.
