Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Dean and TUG Program Chair of the College of Business and Management (CBM)
Position Status: non-exempt, part-time, adjunct faculty
Position Summary: CBM offers on-ground bachelor’s degrees and online undergraduate and master’s degrees with programs accredited by IACBE: This position is scheduled to begin in the fall semester 2025. Responsibilities: Teaching in-person undergraduate courses to traditional and non-traditional students. Courses to be taught may include Legal Environment of Business and Business Ethics in the traditional on-ground undergraduate business program. Other courses may be considered depending on the candidate’s areas of study and experience.

Education/Experience: Candidates who have earned a master’s degree in a related field or an MBA (terminal degree preferred) with an emphasis on the legal environment of business. The successful candidate will also have relevant industry experience and demonstrate teaching ability and expertise.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of U.S. legal systems, torts, contracts, business law, and employment law; skills in legal analysis, compliance, communication, and ethical reasoning, including integration of spiritual and non-secular perspectives; experience with Learning Management Systems required (Canvas preferred)
Mental Demands: Must be able to manage and prioritize teaching load responsibilities and course administration responsibilities
Visual Demands: Some use of computers for class setup and instruction; evaluation of student work; assessment of student learning, composition, editing; and evaluation of various work-related documents
Physical Demands: Long intervals at keyboard and monitor; conveying instructional materials to and from the classroom; demonstrations for instructional purposes may require corresponding physical movements.
Environment: Service-oriented instructional role in an institution of Christian higher education; extensive contact with faculty colleagues, staff, students, and the general public in person, often by phone or email
Character: Candidates should be able to articulate and demonstrate mature Christian faith, in part through commitment to a local Christian church and embrace the mission of Hope International University.
