Oliver! Comes to Life this January

The Fullerton Children’s Repertory Theater (FCRT) is kicking off 2014 with their winter show, Oliver! Held in the Pacific Auditorium at Hope International University, the show will run from January 9 – 18.

Based on the timeless classic Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, Oliver! follows the young orphan boy who begins his life in the wretched London workhouse. He escapes only to fall in with a gang of pickpockets, led by the conniving Fagin. Here Oliver also becomes friends with the Artful Dodger and meets the kindhearted Nancy and menacing Bill Sykes. A Tony-Award winning score from Lionel Bart includes “Food Glorious Food,” “You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two” and “I’d Do Anything.”

Since 1983 FCRT has been providing North Orange County youth with an opportunity to experience American musical theater. Read more about their partnership with HIU, which began in 2012 with FCRT’s production of The Sound of Music.
