For the first time since 2000-01, Hope International University’s Men’s Basketball team is ranked as one of the Top 25 division one teams by the NAIA. Sitting at #16, the Royals are currently on a 13 game win streak with a season record of 18-1 (3-0 GSAC). They’ve also been ranked #7 by the NCCAA.

Her implementation of a web based integrated library system has reaped rewards for HIU students. Troy Gardner Named Director Of Church Relations And Development

In addition to over ten years of experience in youth ministry in California, Gardner has also planted churches in McKinney, TX and Goodyear, AZ, and served as the Senior Pastor for six years at the latter church.

The Heirloom Shoppe, the University thrift store, will be holding its annual Fall Fling on Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday Nov., 12. Veteran Balances Family, Career, and Online Studies

In 2000, Stephen Mercado retired from active service in the military. He had served for 20 years as a jet engine mechanic for aircrafts such as E2 Turbo prop Hawkeye, P-3, and EA6b Prowler and completed a tour as an instructor for the fleet pipeline teaching about power plants and related systems.

Stephen Pate (BA '07, MA '11) spent the summer before his senior year at Hope International University (HIU) serving as an intern with Tumaini International Ministries in Kenya. He never expected to discover during that time that he wanted to devote himself to pastoral ministry but that's exactly what happened. Mat Phelps (BA '05) kicked off the Fall 2011 season in his first year as Director of Soccer at Chowan University in North Carolina. For the past two years, Phelps served as Head Men's Soccer Coach for the Hawks, leading the 2010 squad to the most wins in a season since Chowan switched from Division III to Division II in 2006.

This Traveling Poet Speaks The Word, The Truth, And The Light

Hosanna Wong (B.A. ’11) is living proof that when we let God take the reins, we just might end up in places we never dared dream of. In May 2011, Wong graduated from Hope International University (HIU) with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. Following a six-month, nationwide search, Dr. Jon Wallace, President of Azusa Pacific University (APU), has named Dr. Mark Stanton as provost and chief academic officer. Rachel Croy's (B.A. '10) Adventure in England

When Rachel Croy was a little girl, she would ask her father about college and he would tell her about an English university named Oxford. In her junior year at Hope International University (HIU), Croy got to live out her fantasy of studying at Oxford by spending a semester there through the study abroad program, Best Semester. “I was ready for an adventure,” she said.
