Hope International University is associated with a number of Institutes to provide students with cutting-edge, professional opportunities for learning and professional development.
Apostolic School of Theology (AST)
Since 1984 the Apostolic School of Theology (AST) has worked to enable students to fulfill their God-given potential and purpose in the church and in the world. (www.goAST.org) AST has a special concern for bringing the benefits of Christian higher education to apostolic Pentecostals. AST merged with Hope International University in 2008 and now offers the following courses through Hope International University: a 24 unit Bible/Ministry Certificate, a 60 unit Associate of Arts, a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry, and a Master of Arts (Ministry).
The Londen Institute for Evangelism provides evangelism and church planting materials in a variety of accessible formats—conferences, seminars, online courses, and other resources. Founder and benefactor of the Londen Institute, Mr. Jack Londen, is deeply committed to world evangelism and church planting and Hope International University shares his vision to equip men and women with the skills necessary to effectively communicate the Gospel. Mr. Londen’s generosity makes these important resources possible, giving the church access to some of the most current thinking and most recognized leaders in the church today.
Reasons To Believe (RTB) is an international, interdenominational ministry dedicated to demonstrating that science and faith are allies rather than enemies (http://www.reasons.org). The Reasons Institute (RI) is an innovative distance-learning program from RTB that provides Christians with practical, Bible-based coursework primarily in the area of science and apologetics. Hope International University has entered into a partnership with RTB that allows students taking coursework through the Reasons Institute to receive academic credit for those courses from Hope International University. This arrangement creates additional elective options for Hope students while also providing credit options for Reasons Institute students.
School of Advanced Leadership Training (SALT)
Through the School of Advanced Leadership Training (SALT) Hope International University partners with churches to develop effective servant leaders within the local congregation. For this program, the University has developed a series of short but meaty online courses designed to strengthen the biblical foundation, ministry skills, and emotional and spiritual health of emerging Christian leaders. The title “SALT” evokes Jesus’ reminder that his disciples should be “the salt of the earth.”
