B.A. Associate Ministry
At Hope, the Associate Ministry major prepares students to serve under a Senior Pastor in a supportive capacity. Balanced between theory and practice, our students learn how to create programs that challenge church members to spiritual growth. Practical skills are emphasized, such as budget management, personnel and facilities management, and the creation and oversight of ministry teams.
Coupled with a Bible-based curriculum, this program teaches students to appreciate cultural, technological, psychosocial, and developmental trends that will affect their work regardless of their setting. Graduates will have a solid foundation for ministry in the local church, para-church ministries, as well as preparation for graduate studies in a variety of theological and ministry related fields.

"At Hope, I received Biblical training from passionate leaders that care about what they are teaching and the people they are teaching it to. The professors have shaped my ministry in numerous practical ways because they are doing ministry themselves. Their influence continues to show itself through how I now interpret and use Scripture in my personal life and in teaching Godís Word each week. If you want to get serious about following after Jesus Christ, Hope will give you an education that will push you to bring healing to a broken world with a relevant message.Ē
Associate Ministry Major
"I enjoy the Associate Ministry major because of the flexibility of the program. I get to pick and choose classes that cater to my interests. Also, being in the Church Ministry department has been wonderful because of the relationships Iíve had the privilege to develop with professors. Their interest in me goes well beyond academia and into my personal and spiritual life as well. They are all ready and willing to make the most of my education here at Hope."
