Master of Education
Concentration in GATE

The Master of Education with GATE Concentration program is designed for teachers who are currently teaching GATE students or who seek to work in this area. Our program meets the exemplary level recommended standards indicated by the California State Board of Education. Educators will be equipped in the areas of program design, identification, curriculum and instruction, social and emotional development, professional development, parent and community involvement, program assessment, and budgets.

Our program features sound research training, a curriculum blend of theory and practice, and values-laden teaching from faculty with top academic credentials and real world experience.

The Master of Education with GATE Concentration program is 30 units.

On-campus
Classes are offered at the Orange Education Center and the Corona Education Center, both with close freeway access. Courses are offered one night a week in 8-week modules throughout the year. Schedules can be modified to accommodate school site or district cohorts.

Online
Online courses provide an interactive learning environment through online video lectures, online discussion threads, and an online drop box where you can virtually submit your assignments. Best of all, you can log-on to view lectures, participate in threaded discussions, and submit assignments any time of night or day!

Washington State Students
Prospective Washington State students are advised to contact the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction at 360-725-6320 or profed@k12.wa.us to determine whether this education program is approved for teacher certification or endorsements in Washington State. Additionally, teachers are advised to contact their individual school district as to whether this program may qualify for salary advancement.
