MGT2160 Professional Research and Communication (3 units - 5 weeks)
This course covers both internal and external communications that business people use on the job. Participants also learn methods for conducting professional research, along with appropriate applications for each method. [MGT Major]

MGT3305 Principles of Leadership and Management (3 units - 5 weeks)
This course of study focuses on the manager as leader and decision maker. Students explore various leadership theories, styles, and behaviors, including biblical models. They also learn decision-making models and techniques. [MGT Major]

BUS3500 Computer Information and Resource Management (3 units - 5 weeks)
Topics include general control problems in organizations, performance evaluation, technology and cost trends, software, capacity planning, short-term utilization, queuing and associated externalities, and issues in centralization and decentralization of information system facilities. [MGT Major]

BIB1310 Introduction to Biblical Literature (3 units - 5 weeks)
This course includes an introduction and survey of the Bible. Emphasis is placed on historical overview, major themes, and the uniqueness and authority of Scripture. Students also examine various types of literature in the Bible, identifying appropriate reading and study strategies for each. [HD & MGT Majors]

MGT3160 Organizational Behavior (3 units - 5 weeks)
Students review the social-psychological foundations of organizational behavior, including formal and informal group behavior, and the impact of environmental factors on organizational behavior. Topics include individual and team behavior, communications, motivation, managing change, and leadership. [MGT Major]

MGT3250 Cultural Diversity in the Workplace (3 units - 5 weeks)
This course provides an overview of cultural diversity and its impact on the workplace. Topics include rituals, attitudes, values, beliefs, behaviors, cross-cultural interaction, language issues, nonverbal communication, and the development of organizational cultures. [MGT Major]

BIB3130 A Foundation for Ethics (3 units - 5 weeks)
Philosophical and pragmatic perspectives are examined, including values and social/ethical premises in personal and organizational decision-making. A biblical worldview and its ethical system receive special attention. Case studies examine workplace decision-making, professional behavior, and ethical considerations in those processes. MGT3560 Sales and Marketing (3 units - 5 weeks)
Students learn practical applications of marketing concepts, consumer behavior, location analysis, distribution channels, prices, and public policy. They explore issues involved in managing systems in which personal selling responsibilities and activities are established, sales objectives are set, and sales strategies are determined. [MGT Major]

BUS3710 Research Methods for Business (3 units - 6 weeks)
This course introduces methodologies for conducting and critically analyzing research studies in the functional areas of business. Students gain practice in formulating, conducting, and presenting original research. [MGT Major]

BUS3410 Business Law (4 units - 7 weeks)
Students develop foundational knowledge of legal concepts and processes through a systematic study of the law's relationship to the modern business enterprise. Emphases include tort law, contracts, business organizations, personal property, and human resources. [MGT Major]

BUS4300 Managerial Accounting and Finance (4 units - 7 weeks)
This course of study focuses on sources, uses, costs, and control of funds in business enterprises. Topics include internal management of working capital and income sources, and cost of long-term funds; capital budgeting; capital structure; financing the growth and expansion of business enterprises; and government regulation of the financial process. BIB2120 Servant Leadership (3 units - 5 weeks)
Students examine biblical models of leadership informed by covenant, incarnation, and other scriptural concepts. Applications are made to personal and professional settings, as well as to church and society as a whole. Special Considerations: The faculty recommends that Christian Ministry Majors not take BIB2120 Servant Leadership because their own program includes a more indepth study of these issues in the form of BIB2700 Servant Leadership Theory and CHM3710 Strategic Leadership for Ministry Organizations. MGT4440 Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (3 units - 5 weeks)
This course focuses on the art and the science of negotiating. Students develop skills for conducting effective negotiations in a variety of business situations, including budgeting, buying and selling, contracts, and mergers and acquisitions. They also develop managerial skills for conflict resolution. [MGT Major]

MGT4330 Applied Leadership and Management Strategy [Management Capstone] (4 units - 7 weeks)
This course covers the theory and practice of leadership, and provides a structural opportunity for building management skills. Students explore contemporary approaches to leadership, including corporate practices for developing leaders. The course includes an applied capstone project. Special Considerations: This capstone course is open to Management Majors only. [MGT Major]
