Have you ever walked from California to Texas? Of course not! However, there was a man, at the age of five, who walked a long distance from Sudan to Kenya. Benjamin Ajak shared his personal life journey with students of HIU on Thursday, May 4. The event was sponsored by Amnesty International USA and was supported by Hope International University to share about the current crisis in Africa. Students watched the documentary, "The Lost Boys of Sudan", followed by a lecture by Benjamin-one of the original Lost Boys. If students are interested in getting involved with the Lost Boys of Sudan, there are various opportunities to help them in their transition into the American culture.
