Ever since he could remember, Roger Peña (BA '01) wanted to be a professional soccer player. To that end, he spent four years as the starting goalkeeper at Hope International University, eventually captaining the team his senior year. After graduating in 2001 with a B.A. in Social Science, Peña kept his sights on the soccer field as he pursued an M.A. in Public Administration at California State University Fullerton (CSUF). When Toby Yurek (BA ’95) first entered Pacific Christian College, he had plans to become a pastor. But as he approached his final months of school, God laid a different calling on his heart – law enforcement. He has now been with the Henderson (Nevada) Police Department for over 15 years and has not looked back. He started out as a police officer and has worked his way up to Lieutenant of the Criminalistics Bureau, which includes crime scene investigations and the crime lab. more...

Chief of Police for the city of Placentia, Jim Anderson (MFT ’92, B.A. ’85), began in law enforcement 30 years ago with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. He came to Orange County in 1980 and worked his way up to Chief of Police for the City of Placentia. Along with doing his best to make the city of Placentia “the safest city in Orange County”, Chief Anderson is a family man, serves at his church, and is a licensed therapist. more...
