Dual Passion: Music Industry & Supporting Children of Divorced Parents
Tammy Gallegos Bennett (BA, ‘92) has spent over 20 years working in the music industry in event planning. Her career began while she was a student at Hope where she had the opportunity to experience a one-year music program intensive at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Her professional experience includes major event production for various music companies: Sparrow Records, Word Entertainment, Warner Brothers, Reunion, Vida, GMA, Expolit, the Hispanic Prayer Breakfast with President George W. Bush and many others.
Tammy started Bennett's Events in 1998, a full-service event production company, catering to the needs of various music and book clients across the country. Bennett’s Events has served the Christian and mainstream trade industries in the areas of event production, marketing, sponsorships and promotions. Tammy has recently produced national events for HarperCollins Publishers, CeCe Winans and the Always Sisters Conference, and the “It’s A Mom Thing” event for Howard Books with Chonda Pierce, Kim Hill and Sandi Patty. Amidst her exciting career in event planning, another passion grew within Tammy and she founded an organization called Christian CoParenting. Christian CoParenting (CCP) seeks to provide hope and vision for parents who have gone through divorce and are raising children between two households. The vision of CCP is that a child of divorce does not have to grow up “broken”, but instead can be nurtured and given an opportunity to be whole as they grow to adulthood. Tammy provides CoParenting classes and seminars all over the country. ( www.ChristianCoParenting.com )
Tammy constantly shares about what a life-long impact her education at Pacific Christian College, the undergraduate school at Hope, has had on her personally, professionally, and in her walk with God. She is grateful for the continued friendship with many students and professors from Hope.
