SALT Registration Form
Each SALT student must complete this registration form (see below under “SALT Enrollment Process”).
SALT Class Roster Form
If churches purchase a SALT course at the package rate of $2500 for 15 students, then leaders should use this form to list students in the “package” (see below under “SALT Enrollment Process”).
SALT ENROLLMENT PROCESS
To enroll church members in a SALT course, leaders should follow five simple steps:
- Decide what tuition fee you will charge SALT students (see under “Costs”):
- Hope’s individual student rate is $280 per course. If you use this rate, then simply collect $280 from each SALT student.
- Hope offers a package rate in which churches may place up to 15 students in a SALT course for only $2500 (or $167 per student). If your church buys a package, then you may wish to charge those students only $167 apiece.
- Some churches subsidize SALT courses by paying part or all of the SALT tuition fee. If your church wishes to do this, then decide what part of the cost (if any) you will pass on to your SALT students.
- Have each SALT student fill out and sign the one-page SALT Registration Form. Collect this form and the appropriate tuition fee (see above) from each student.
- If your church is buying SALT courses at the package rate (see above), then list those students participating in the package on the SALT Class Roster Form.
- Send the following items to the SALT Director, Mr. Baresel (address below):
- A SALT Registration form for each student
- A SALT Class Roster form for each “package” of 15 students (if applicable)
- A check covering the tuition fees for all SALT students (typically $2500 for each group of 15 students participating in a “package” plus $280 each for any extra students paying the individual rate). Make the check payable to “Hope International University.”
- Decide how your church wishes to handle textbook orders. Textbooks and other course materials are not included in tuition. Students may individually purchase these resources online through the Hope Bookstore. Or the church may wish to purchase enough materials for the entire SALT class, and then perhaps have the students reimburse the church for those materials.

Students who wish to complete a full bachelor’s or master’s degree through Hope International University (using some SALT courses) must also fulfill the admission requirements for the University (see Undergraduate Admissions or Graduate Admissions). The admission process for degree-seeking students typically takes several weeks. However, those students may still participate in SALT courses prior to acceptance into a degree program.
