Hope Students Take a Stand for Global Issues!

Invisible Children Night Commute

On April 29th over twenty students from Hope International University participated in the global night commute. Through the Invisible Children organization, thousands of people from all over the world met in over 130 different cities to lie down for what they believed. Currently thousands of children in Northern Uganda are displaced, having to walk six miles each day to find safe shelter to sleep. Children as young as five years old are being abducted in the middle of the night and trained to be military soldiers. In response to this crisis people such as our Hope International students chose to walk six miles, sleep outside, and write letters to their congressman and the President, in hope for awareness, education, and change.
