how to enroll

Students may enroll in Orchard Group Institute courses at three levels:

  • Audit. Audit students enroll in a course for personal enrichment without seeking university credit. To receive recognition for an audit, students must simply attend the class sessions, missing no more than 2 hours of a course. Hope recommends that audit students complete some or all of the assignments for undergraduate credit, but they are not required to do so and they do not receive a final grade.

  • Undergraduate Credit. Students who enroll in a course for undergraduate (bachelorís level) credit must also attend class sessions, missing no more than 2 hours of a course. They must complete all undergraduate readings and assignments, and they will have a final grade recorded on their University transcript. To enroll for undergraduate credit, students must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.

  • Graduate Credit. Students who enroll in a course for graduate (masterís level) credit must likewise miss no more than 2 hours of the class sessions. They must complete all graduate readings and assignments, and a final grade will be recorded on their University transcript. To enroll for graduate credit, students must hold an accredited bachelorís degree or its equivalent.

Students who wish to enroll in a single OGI course or Session for audit or credit must provide basic information on a simple one-page application form (PDF).

Students who wish to apply OGI courses to a Bachelor of Science degree must fulfill the undergraduate admissions requirements found here. Students who wish to apply OGI courses to a Master of Arts in a ministry area must fulfill the graduate admissions requirements found here.
