Disney’s Prince Caspian Follow-up Curriculum
Created by Hope Professors, Steve and Cora Alley

They were again asked to write the companion curriculum for the May ’08 release of Prince Caspian, the second in the film versions of C.S. Lewis’ classic Chronicles of Narnia. The Alleys have designed a Sunday school curriculum, a one-day outreach, and a vacation Bible school program to be used by parents, schools, churches, and home schools as they show the film, then apply the Christian principles in it to lives of children across the world.

In over 120 pages, the curriculum leads children to discover the rich lessons originally crafted by C.S. Lewis as he wrote this Christian adventure story of a believer's struggles and triumphs in “setting right a world gone wrong.” This curriculum challenges children to remember who they really are as Christians, to follow God as He leads them to make godly choices, and finally to have the courage to stand for Him in the "battles" of daily life. The curriculum accomplishes these goals through creative activities, board games, craft projects, small group discussions, and real-life application activities.

Steve and Cora Alley have been well known in the Christian community as curriculum writers since 1975. They are the authors of the classic skit curriculum Skituations, and have also written Biblical Choices for a New Generation, A 1,000-lesson Christian school Bible curriculum published by Standard Publishing. The Disney curriculum project has been one of their most challenging ones so far, but it is in keeping with their life-long goal: to lead children to the Lord through creative learning activities.

Prince Caspian curriculum is available as a FREE download from Outreach International, who has been contracted by Disney to make the Narnia adventure stories available to the Christian community. Click here to visit the Outreach website.
