New Course Aimed at Helping Students Transition from College to the Workplace
Hope International University’s Career Services office is releasing a new course designed for junior and senior level students preparing to transition to the workplace. Beginning in the Fall of 2012, the one unit course will meet on Wednesdays from 11-11:50 a.m. and will last for ten weeks.
Leadership Seminar: Career Resources (LDR 4200) is a practical course that will cover all aspects of the career search including resume and cover letter writing, preparing a professional portfolio, networking, and interview preparation. By the end of the course, students will have a working portfolio ready to take with them as they network and are interviewed.
Professionals and alumni are invited to serve as guest speakers or mentors for the course, offering suggestions and advice from their personal experiences.
