Application Process

  1. Fill out an Application for Admission
  2. Fill out an Affidavit of Financial Support from a sponsor
  3. Obtain an original bank statement from the same sponsor's bank account showing enough funds to cover the total costs for the term applied for (semester - $15,500, summer - $1,800)
  4. Fill out an Application for Sevis I-20 form
  5. Fill out an International Student Health History form
  6. Fill out a Residence Hall Application
  7. Include a $50 application fee (non-refundable) payable to Hope International University
  8. Please send all the forms and application fee (check or money order) to:

  9. If you are accepted to a fall or spring semester program, you will be required to pay a $4,000 deposit (the total cost of one semester of tuition) before you receive your I-20. If you are accepted to the summer program, you will be required to pay a $500 deposit before receiving an I-20. If your visa is denied, you will receive a full refund minus any wiring fees.
  10. Obtain an F-1 visa from your government agency's office
  11. Download the Pre-Arrival Guide & Information and read before you leave for Hope International University.

* If you are a F-1 student transferring from a college/university in the U.S., you will need to fill out an Immigration Status Verification Form and include it in the application packet.
