Hope International University is a regionally accredited private Christian university comprised of two schools: Pacific Christian College and the School of Graduate and Professional Studies. The institution was founded in 1928 as Pacific Bible Seminary, when it began its long-standing tradition of preparing Christ-centered servant leaders.
The University provides students with a leadership and ethics focused education in service-based professions through undergraduate and graduate degree programs in business, education, ministry, music, psychology and counseling, human development and other social sciences. In addition, certificate and degree completion programs for working adults are offered. A significant number choose programs delivered via the Internet, as the University has developed a strong track record of delivering online education.
Total university enrollment is approximately 1700 students with 1250 pursuing degree programs and 450 completing certificate/seminar programs. The student body represents over 35 states and 40 countries.
Hope offers a dynamic, personalized education that encourages intellectual, social, physical and spiritual development delivered by a faculty and staff dedicated to the ultimate success of each graduate. The student to faculty ratio of 14:1 ensures the kind of individualized instruction students need to prepare them for the future. Student life is enhanced through many campus activities including clubs, performing groups, intercollegiate athletic teams and the Associated Student Body. Students are encouraged to get involved in church and community service activities, mission trips, and intensive internships that give them the kind of foundation necessary to face the challenges of today’s global society.
